Buying and Ordering Plants

Our nursery works differently from the average nursery. We have large plant sale days on the first weekend of the winter months, June, July and August. (details on website) where a huge range of local natives will be available at very cheap prices (approx. 300 species). Most other plants we grow to order. Plants (larger batches) can also be sold or collected on our working day Wednesday by appointment.

Most plants at the nursery are grown to order. Orders are preferably placed in late autumn to winter the year before planting. Smaller orders can be placed up until the end of the year. Plants from the nursery are available for pick up from the start of winter.

Early plantings, once the soil is wet, will result in plants that are well established and need less care over the summer months. A list of the plants we propose to grow each year is available on the web site. All of our plants are very hardy and perfect for local conditions. Advice on plant suitability for your individual needs is available. These plants are not available for retail or other onselling.

It is best to order early (a year before planting) so that we can grow the plants specifically for you.
